Our Parliamentary Candidates 2019

11 November 2019

Mole Valley and Epsom & Ewell Green Party makes a bid for a climate election with two outstanding candidates.

At the General Election, taking place on Thursday December 12, 2019, Mole Valley and Epsom & Ewell's candidates will be Lisa Scott-Conte and Janice Baker, respectively.

            Janice Baker

The two candidates already have a strong presence in their would-be respective constituencies with an aim to follow the Green Party message of; to campaign for a People's Vote on Brexit, to tackle Climate Change and to fight for a society that works for everyone.

Lisa Scott-Conte, who has lived in Mole Valley for more than 15 years, has been a prominent campaigner against drilling for oil at Horse Hill for many years. She's a parish councillor for Charlwood Village and has worked to improve cycling and walking infrastructure and accessibility, and public transport.

Lisa believes passionately that the key to a positive future is through strong local communities, protecting and promoting local trades, businesses and services to create local jobs for local people.

Janice Baker, who chairs the Mole Valley and Epsom & Ewell Green Party, has lived in Epsom for the past 28 years, and cares passionately about exposing multi-million pound coorporations for exploitation of people and the environment.

Janice serves on the steering group of Divest Surrey to end Surrey County Council investment in gas and oil completely. And has worked with others to set up Sustainable Epsom.
