Lisa has already called for better use of previously built-on land instead of Green Belt.
The old AVIVA office site near Dorking would be a better option for a large scale housing development than Hookwood Green Belt.
However, our Lib Dem run MVDC were remiss in NOT placing Tree Preservation Orders (TPO) on the land at this site, so the developer was able to cut down 80 mature trees. These trees were helping to reduce heat, providing oxygen and removing carbon for this area. Lisa has called for a blanket TPO on all land earmarked in the Local Plan to prevent a repeat elsewhere.
